This Sunday star defensive end Nick Bosa and the San Francisco 49ers will take on the L.A. Rams for an opportunity to play in the Super Bowl. Bosa was a standout player at Ohio State and he has already made a name for himself in the NFL. He was the second overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Not surprisingly, Bosa comes from an athletically gifted family. His brother Joey who also played college ball at Ohio State was selected third overall in the 2016 Draft by the Chargers. Their father John was selected 16th overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 1987 Draft. This made the Bosa’s only the second family to have three members all drafted in the first round, joining Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning.

The Connection

Nick Bosa’s uncle Eric Kumerow also played in the NFL, being selected 16th overall by the Miami Dolphins in 1988, just as his brother in law John Bosa had been the year prior.
